Getting from Jaipur to Kuala Lumpur
There are no regular direct flights between Jaipur and Kuala Lumpur, so your journey starts with a short domestic flight from Jaipur International Airport at Sanganer to Delhi or Mumbai. From either hub, the onward flight to Kuala Lumpur International Airport takes around 5 to 6 hours. Allowing for the connection, the trip usually takes up most of a day.
Tips for the journey
- Ask for both flights on one booking, which usually means your bags are checked through to Kuala Lumpur.
- Leave a comfortable layover, particularly if the connection involves changing terminals.
- Some travellers prefer to reach Delhi by road or rail and fly from there. Our Malaysia tour package from Delhi shows how that route works.
- Currency exchange is easy to find and cards are accepted in hotels and malls, but a little cash in ringgit is handy for markets and small purchases.

How much does it cost from Jaipur?
The price depends on your hotel category, the season and what you choose to include. Options run from budget-friendly trips to premium holidays with luxury hotels and private transfers, and the route and pace can be customised.
Because every itinerary from Jaipur involves a connecting flight, fares can move more than on direct routes. Booking early for the November to April season usually secures better flight prices and a wider choice of hotels. Our Malaysia trip cost guide explains what drives the final figure.
Adding Penang or a health check-up
With extra days, Penang is a rewarding addition, known for colonial architecture, street art and food. Ask us to extend the itinerary.
Some travellers also combine their holiday with a health check-up or wellness programme, as Malaysia has modern hospitals and English-speaking doctors. Speak to your own doctor before planning any treatment abroad, and read our guide to health tourism in Malaysia for an overview.
Good to know before you go
- Indian food, including plenty of vegetarian options, is easy to find, especially in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur's Little India.

- November to April is the best window for sightseeing and the beaches, and it is also a busy period for holidays from India.
- Indian passport holders have generally benefited from simplified entry arrangements, but rules change. Read our Malaysia visa guide and confirm current requirements on official Malaysian government channels before booking.
